The expatriates in Uruguay must be very grateful to you for welcoming them and even forming a club for them. I am not surprised that the club, which you named the Sunday Expat meetings, has already assumed a life of its own given the fact that the meetings push through with or without you. Of course, these expats must be lonely in Uruguay and they probably miss their families so they want to share their loneliness with others who share their feelings and views. This is why those meetings take place every Sunday. It eases the expats' loneliness and burdens and gives them the energy to survive life away from their families.
