Uruguayan state telecommunications company Antel has signed off a seven-year deal with Carrasco International Airport to become the latter's exclusive telecom provider. Among the provisions of the contract are mobile, data, and local telephony. Antel will provide the infrastructure (including a fiber optic cable network) that will allow the transfer of data within the airport.
