One should check out one of the many markets that are scattered all around the capital city of Uruguay, in Montevideo, when trying to come up with a good way to spend a few extra hours or so.
The highlight of the shopping experience in all of the city is Montevideo's port market. In the historical district of Ciudad Vieja, this market runs along the main port of Montevideo.
Here is certainly the perfect spot for one to try some of Uruguay's delicious traditional cuisine, besides having a wide selection of art and craft stalls.
