If there's one word that Montevideans use to describe their home city, that would be "tranquil."
Indeed, city life in Montevideo is more relaxed and laid back than its foreign counterparts. Compared with its cousin Buenos Aires, Argentina, there's much less to be busy about in this Uruguayan capital. Just don't apply this to the city's ports because its port is one of the busiest in the continent.
