Being a city with the largest green areas in the Latin America with 60% of its 522 square kilometers for the rural area, the municipality of Montevideo is working to develop the "Green Montevideo" from November 3 to 15, with guided tours of parks, farms and museums.
The aim of the project is to increase public awareness on how important it is to have green areas.
Transport to the park is free, but visitors are required to book in advance at the Jardin Botanico.
