Montevideo Port as the Main Economic Engine of the Country

Montevideo port that sits on the river plate, the estuary that was formed by the combination of the Paraná rivers and Uruguay was the main port in the country. The estuary which is 48 km wide was the widest in the world. Montevideo port is the country's main economic engine and was designated by Spain as its main one i the Ameircas in 1776.
