One of the rising offering of Uruguay is its status as the wine country. Farmlands near the village of Juanicó in the Canelones District which is moslty made up of family owned and runned vineyards are hitting the mainstream grounds as the wine tourism. The Juanicó wine region is a 45-minute drive away for Río de la Plata, river between Argentina and luckily its behind Uruguay's border so as the stretch of 15 bodegas and vineyard, century old vineyard which all still operates and exports their wines.
